Ghanaian lawyer, media practitioner, fashion mogul, and 1st runner up Miss Ghana 2002, Miss Sandra Gyamfua Ankobiah is calling on Exclusive Events Ghana, sole organisers of the embattled Miss Ghana pageant to undergo restructuring to claim their lost glory.
The Miss Ghana brand has faced a major damage after four former Queens and runner ups singled out the head of Exclusive Events Ghana, Inna Mariam Patty, as a bully who exploits them and the cause of the disturbing and dehumanising experiences they had to go through.
For instance, the winner of Miss Ghana 2010, Stephanie Karikari, revealed that Inna Mariam Patti refused to put her on a billboard because her appearance did not please her senses.
According to her, the organiser declined to project her with the explanation that “sponsors had told her that I was not beautiful enough to be on the billboard.”
Also, Guiseppina Nana Akua Baafi (Miss Ghana 2013) and Antoinette Delali Kemavor (Miss Ghana 2015) said there were attempts to make them sleep with influential men in order to meet their task of raising funds for the organisers.
The reigning queen Miss Marget Dery also tendered her resignation days after she tweeted that winning the crown and subsequent events are the worse experiences of her life.

However, the PRO for FIDA Ghana (International Federation of Women Lawyers) reacting to the former queens claims in a conversation with Abeiku Santana on U TV’s ATUU Show gave professionally advice and suggested a solution.
Sandra Ankobiah who did not want to be cited for contempt due to a pending court case suggested to organisers of the show to rebrand.
“Absolutely, I think the recent allegations is quite damaging. They really needs to rebrand. I think the case is in the court. I don’t want to speak too much about it. I don’t want to say anything”
“But after everything is said and done they need to rebrand. There have been some damages done to the brand” She said
Meanwhile, Exclusive Events Ghana has already auditioned for the 2018 edition of the Miss Ghana pageant amidst the controversies.
