Now in its sixth printing, the book has 3.4 million copies in print in the U.S. and Canada.
The memoir is the best-selling hardcover book of the year and is also the number one seller in several countries including Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Holland, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Greece. “Becoming” is being published in 31 languages. Mrs. Obama has been killing it on her book tour, which will make several stops in Europe next week. On Monday, she is expected to appear at a sold-out event with writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who was featured in Beyonce’s song “Flawless”. Michelle has adjusted her schedule and announced that in order to attend Bush’s funeral this week, she would be canceling her planned book tour appearances in Paris and Berlin. She is expected to return to the states for an event in Detroit on December 11th with comedian Phoebe Robinson.
