Jocelyn Wildenstein has gone from billionaire to broke.  The former socialite — nicknamed “Catwoman” for her obsession with plastic surgery to give her feline facial features — has filed for federal Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and astonishingly lists her Citibank account balance as “$0.”  The 77-year-old Manhattanite is scratching by on just $900 a month in Social Security income, the filing states.

“I am not employed and my only income is Social Security,” Wildenstein says in an affidavit. “I often turn to friends and family in order to pay my ongoing expenses.”

But while she’s cash poor, Wildenstein is sitting on some pretty pricey real estate.  The woman once called “Bride of Wildenstein” over her shocking facial reconstructions is perched in three adjoining apartments worth $11.75 million on the 51st floor of Trump World Tower. But she owes $4.6 million to Modern Bank for the massive home, which is currently in foreclosure, according to court papers. The city’s seeking nearly $25,000 in unpaid property taxes.   Image result for Jocelyn Wildenstein: From Billionaire to BrokeOther assets are underwater including a $38,000 payment to Chase Auto Finance for a 2006 Bentley that’s now worth just $35,000. In a similar vein, she owes the Manhattan storage company Day & Meyer, Murray and Young $700,000 for belongings that total $100,000, the filing says.  The rest of her assets are a $1,000 wardrobe and $100 television.  She’s seeking bankruptcy protection to “reorganize my financial affairs,” Wildenstein says in the statement, noting that she has a total $16.4 million in assets and $6.4 million in liabilities.  Wildenstein could claw her way out of bankruptcy if she gets the $4.5 million she says she’s due from her divorce. She was married to the late billionaire art dealer Alec.  Wildenstein until 1999 when she netted a reported $2.5 billion in the split. But those funds are apparently long gone. She’s $273,000 in debt to at least three law firms and owes the contractor who renovated her Trump World Tower apartment $175,000. The owner of a Beverly Hills bungalow she’d rented is after her for another $165,000.  Her American Express appears to be maxed out– she’s listed $70,000 debt with the credit card company.

The public bankruptcy has Wildenstein crouching under the covers, a close pal claims.  “She is a very nice lady but she is very gullible. She has been taken by everyone.”  She’s embroiled in several lawsuits related to her foreclosures and credit card debt.  Wildenstein’s had a tough couple of years. She was arrested twice over incidents involving her on-again, off-again fiancé Lloyd Klein.

Jocelyn became the world’s most recognizable divorcee in 1999, having landed a then-record $2.5 billion settlement from her late ex-husband, the art dealer Alec Wildenstein.   The flamboyant New York socialite, famed for her feline features, got engaged to her fashion designer boyfriend Lloyd Klein for thew second time in July of 2017, when he presented her with a 32 carat diamond ring.

The couple’s 14-year romance appeared to be over last December when 71-year-old Jocelyn sank her claws into Klein in a now-notorious catfight.  However the pair say the headline-grabbing tussle that saw them both thrown behind bars only made them realize how much they couldn’t bear to be apart.  Klein says the couple are very much back in love and will be reunited.  He said: ‘This is the result of a situation that got out of hand We have been together for 14 years, we were never at war and we are still in love.’  Klein said he will be dropping charges against Wildenstein allowing them to reunite.

‘Jocelyn is a wonderful lady, she is extremely refined and is a woman of great taste. She is a very whimsical, magical, very special and beautiful person. Yes, she is different, she has something other people do not have. I always said beauty is very subjective. Yes she did have a bit of surgery — we know that — but she didn’t change her face to look like a cat. I’ve seen pictures of her when she was 17 and she looked the same as now, she has always looked feline.”

He also dismissed criticism of their age gap. Klein is 49 while Wildenstein is 76.

The Canadian fashion designer arrived at criminal court on Monday morning in a chauffeur-driven BMW wearing Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, accompanied by two bodyguards

Klein arrived at Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday morning in a chauffeur-driven BMW wearing custom-made Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, accompanied by two bodyguards.  He had been facing several charges including assault, robbery, grand larceny and criminal mischief for allegedly stealing an iPhone, a Swiss ID, a cell phone case and a credit card after a fight with Wildenstein, 71, at their sprawling, $13-million Manhattan home in December. He was also accused of hurling her to the ground.   Klein’s hearing lasted under a minute in January 2018 and saw the judge dismiss all charges against him due to a lack of evidence.    Wildenstein did not accompany Klein to court.
