Ghanaian rapper, record producer and businessman, Desmond Blackmore, affectionately called, D Black, has faked information online to mislead people. The world’s largest online encyclopedia, Wikipedia has said.
The most popular general reference work on the Internet Wikipedia has enabled a disclaimer on the ‘Vera’ hitmaker’s article on their platform. It is evident some data on the platform is doctored.
Wikipedia announced four years ago that as part of it plans to put the users interest first and remain the world’s free encyclopedia, it would embark on a clean up exercise on their platform and will penalized any, individual(s) with fabricated article(s) and page(s). Hence, D Black has fallen a victim weeks after Sarkodie was caught in the act.
Per the disclaimer, Wikipedia is accusing the CEO of Black Musik Avenue for putting out false information out there. With this one would say D Black‘s article on wikipedia was done in exchange for monetary gains, as if the rapper paid somebody to put some information that is not valid on Wikipedia.
We cannot state unequivocally the rapper has faked this or that but it’s very denting on the his brand as a musician.
Meanwhile, Wikipedia allows one to report if he/she feels they goofed in issuing the disavowal notice therefore we entreat the multiple award-winning act and his management team to respond before the unfortunate happens.
Moving forward, this also serves as a caution to most celebrities who have fake informations on their pages on Wikipedia, your days are numbered.
