Former England international, Gary Lineker, has hailed Trent Alexander-Arnold after the Reds’ 4-0 win over Barcelona in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.

Lineker hailed Trent Alexander-Arnold’s quick thinking as his performance helped Liverpool to the stunning victory over Lionel Messi-led Barcelona.

The Reds hit back quickly through Divock Origi in the opening 10 minutes, before a quick-fire Georginio Wijnaldum double levelled the scores on aggregate.

Jurgen Klopp’s side went into Tuesday’s clash trailing 3-0 after the first leg in Spain.

The winning goal came courtesy of a brilliant moment of inspiration from Alexander-Arnold, who took advantage of some lack defending at a corner to whip the ball in low for Origi to net his second and Liverpool’s fourth.

Lineker, who took to his Twitter handle, wrote: “That is unbelievable from @trentaa98. Incredible.”
