Samuel Kalu has signed a long-term contract with Bordeaux as he takes the position of Malcolm who has left for Barcelona.
Bordeaux have completed the signing of Nigeria’s Samuel Kalu on a five-year contract from Gent.
The 20-year-old winger has been tipped as a replacement for the Girondins’ star Malcom who left for Barcelona in a €30 million deal this summer.
Kalu joined Yves Vanderhaeghe’s side from AS Trencin in 2016, and, alongside Nigeria international Moses Simon, has been one of their main players.
Last season, the youngster scored seven league goals in 32 Belgian top-flight appearances.
In other news, Marseille are considering a season-long loan deal for Nigeria and Porto midfielder Mikel Agu, Le10 Sport reports.
The French Ligue 1 side are interested in strengthening their midfield with the 25-year-old who spent last season on loan at Bursaspor.
Marseille are preparing a loan offer with an option to sign the midfielder permanently at the end of the season.
