AIG charges police personnel to embrace professionalism, commitment

The pioneer Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Eastern Ports Command, Rivers State, AIG Abdulmajid Ali, has charged the police personnel in his command and others in the Nigeria Police to embrace professionalism and  commitment towards good service delivery in their day-to-day activities.

The Police boss made the call while addressing a cross section of some police officers and men within his command recently at the  Eastern Ports Command headquarters, Onne Rivers State, during his routine lecture.

AIG Abdulmajid Ali,  who was recently deployed to head the Eastern Ports Command, which was recently upgraded to a zonal command status by the Inspector-General of Police to curtail the present challenges of insecurity at the ports, charged the officers and men to tap from his wealth of experience as a police boss who has worked in all sectors of the force and around the 6 Geo-political zones in Nigeria.

The police boss, while appreciating the  Inspector-General of Police IGP Ibrahim Idris for upgrading the command to a zonal status, assured the police personnel of better enabling working environment and adequate  policing of the Nigerian ports with a view to projecting the  Federal government’s commitment to improve the economy via more secured  seas and waterways. 

He also siezed the opportunity to appeal to other security agencies and stakeholders to believe in the commitment of the Federal government to provide adequate security for lives and property in our country,  Nigeria.
