The policemen in Abuja have arrested a two-man gang who specialize in stealing from churches. They were finally caught after being in the game for about three years.
According to The Sun, the suspects who were identified as 19-year-old Nwobodo Christopher and 23-year-old Stephen Daniels, resides around Apo district in Abuja. They were also described as experts in burgling from churches and disposing them at giveaway prices.
While speaking with the police, they revealed that they are able to carry out their operations with the help of the security guards working in churches adding that, they are also backed by one Alhaji Iliya who buys their loot.
One of suspects, Christopher attributed their preference for musical instruments to the brisk demands from operators of drink joints and entertainment centres, adding that they sell loudspeakers, the big ones and the amplifier to Iliya for N15, 000.
19-year-old Christopher from Enugu state and 23-year-old Daniel from Adamawa state were arrested after stealing from a Pentecostal church located in Apo.
